Boys' Varsity Basketball Again Tops Scotland Campus

For the second time in a week, the boys' varsity basketball team defeated Scotland Campus (PA). This time the Blue Storm hit the road, and came home with an 81-66 win.

The Knights led by three at halftime, but Mercersburg has been predominantly a second half team this season, and a big 47 point surge after the intermission carried the team to victory. Jasper Hedin '23 scored 17 points in the second half and Jay Colon '25 had one of his best scoring games, putting up 10 after the intermission. Josiah Wright '25 carried the load in the first half, hitting four three-pointers and scoring 16 of his game high 21 points before the break. Hedin ended up with 10 points while Colon had 12 and Jinwoo Kim '23 finished with 13. "It was nice to see some different guys step up and grow," said head coach Sean Crocker.

The Blue Storm (11-10 overall) look forward to hosting the MAPL tournament, for both boys' and girls', across the weekend of February 10-12. The boys will play a first round game on Friday, February 10 against Lawrenceville at 3:15 pm.
