For the first time since 2017, the Blue Storm boys' varsity squash team lifted the championship trophy at its own Flanagan Invitational Tournament December 10.

Mercersburg swept to 9-0 victories over Loyola in the quarterfinals and Potomac in the semis, then faced off against Mid-Atlantic Prep League rival Hill in the finals. Last season the boys lost a close match to Hill in the MAPL tournament and were routed 8-1 in a home match before that, but this time, the Blue Storm were hitting on all cylinders. Mercersburg swept all of the 1-6 matches by 3-0 scores and also swept #8. A 3-1 win at #9 gave the Storm a dominant 8-1 win overall and the team title.

Mercersburg will now begin a four-week break from team competition before returning to the Davenport Squash Center for a home match against Nichols School (Buffalo, NY) on Saturday, January 7 at noon.
