Boys' V Soccer Tops Perkiomen
Mercersburg scored two goals in the second half to pick up its first victory of the season, a 2-1 win over visiting Perkiomen on September 17.
Perkiomen got on the board early in the first half and held the 1-0 lead till the break. Early in the second half the Panthers went a man down and the tide turned toward the Storm. Mercersburg got on the board midway through when Gustavo Lisboa '26 scored on a header after a scramble in front of the net. Jaekwan Kim '26 scored the game-winner with eleven minutes to play on a rebound of a shot from Christian Garcia '27. Keegan Roddis '25 had a great game in goal and made some big saves late in the contest.
Next up for the 1-2 Storm is a MAPL game at Pennington (NJ) on Saturday, September 21 at 1 pm.
