Mercersburg travelled to Lawrenceville for a Mid-Atlantic Prep League boys' varsity soccer match October 8, and came home with a 2-1 win.

Miles Maggioncalda '23 scored both goals (one with an assist from Christian Concordia '24) as the Blue Storm built a 2-0 lead at halftime.  The Big Red cut the margin to one late in the game, but Mercersburg held on for the win.

"Overall we played very well during the first half," said head coach Peter Kallin, "[though] Lawrenceville pinned us in our own half for spells in the second half and they scored with just under four minutes left in the game."

Mercersburg is 3-3-3 overall, and 1-1 in the MAPL.  Next up is a game at St. James on Wednesday, October 12, beginning at 4:30 p.m.
