Boys' V Basketball Takes Down Hill

Mercersburg defeated previously unbeaten (in the MAPL) Hill 69-58 in a boys' varsity basketball game played on the Plantz Courts January 31.

The Storm led virtually the entire game against the Blues, who were 5-0 in MAPL play coming into this contest. Hill evened things up midway through the fourth quarter, but Josiah Wright '25 and Thaddeus Lee '25 hit some big baskets down the stretch, and Mercersburg converted free throws at the end to seal the win. Lee and Wright were the top scorers with 26 and 18 respectively while Erik Oliver-Bush '24 added 13.

Head coach Sean Crocker commented "I've been telling them all year, we are a really good team when we play together. Tonight we really defended well, and I'm very proud of the effort the guys put in."

Mercersburg is 14-5 overall, 3-2 in the MAPL with a final MAPL regular season game coming up at Hun (Princeton, NJ) on Friday, February 2 at 5:30 pm.
