Mercersburg built a big 27-9 lead at halftime and cruised to a 55-36 victory over Deerfield (MA) in a boys' varsity basketball game played at St. Joseph's College in Hartford, CT December 21.

Josiah Wright '25 had 11 of the Storm's 27 points in the first half and the defense held Deerfield to just three baskets from the floor. Things were more balanced in the second half, but by then Mercersburg had things well in hand. Wright led all scorers with 18 points for the game while Thaddeus Lee '25 had 15 and Cam Weyforth '27 added 8.

The Storm is 6-5 heading into Winter Break and after the vacation will open with a home contest against Episcopal High School (Alexandria, VA) on Thursday, January 9 at 5 pm.
