Mercersburg's varsity and JV boys' tennis teams both defeated Hill May 6 in matches played at the Smoyer Tennis Center.
The varsity squad won five of the six singles matches and two of the three doubles for a 6-1 win. Max Zhang '26 and Bent Reiche '24 had to go to tiebreakers to win their matches, but the other victories were fairly convincing ones. Varsity results are listed below.

In the JV contest the teams played five doubles matches, and the Blue Storm came out on top in four of them for a 4-1 victory. The winning combos for Mercersburg were Bori Miryusopov '24 and Eric Wang '26 at #1, Michael Zhang '26 and Khanh Nguyen '25 at #2, Lewis Pieyre '23 and Alex Van Ness '25 at #3, and Ben Cho '24 and Jelly Nguyen '24 at #4. The JV team finished its season with a perfect record of 8-0.
For the varsity, this was their fourth consecutive win and they conclude the regular season with an overall record of 10-5. The team will compete in the MAPL Championships next Saturday, May 13 at 1 pm. Blair Academy (Blairstown, NJ) is hosting the MAPL Tournament this year.
