Boys' Squash Teams Fall to Haverford

The boys' squash teams travelled to the Haverford (PA) School December 4 to take on the number three team in the nation and fell by scores of 6-1 (varsity) and 7-0 (JV).

Several players on both squads put in strong showings though only Rayyan Khan '27 was able to pull out a 3-1 victory against an opponent who was ranked several points higher.

Head coach Dominic Benacquista commented, "Overall, I was very pleased with the boys’ performances. The program has shown tremendous growth, and while there is still work to be done, this match opened the boys’ eyes to what is possible. They faced a stronger team but proved that the gap between us and the top 16 teams is narrowing, especially compared to last year."

Mercersburg will host Wakefield School (The Plains, VA) in a varsity match on Thursday, December 5 at 4 pm.
