Mercersburg defeated the visiting Jefferson Juniors 6-2 in a boys' JV tennis match May 3.

"All the boys played really well," commented head coach Kathleen Su, "but mostly I was impressed with their composure while playing kids much younger than them. They were respectful and supportive of the other players. The Jefferson Juniors is a great program for middle schoolers to introduce them to match play at a young age. We played them four times this year and all of us noticed tremendous improvements to their games over the course of the season."

Match winners for Mercersburg included Max Strauss '25 (9-8, 9-7 tiebreaker), Gaven McGuire '26 (8-0), Amon Yamamoto '26 (8-2), Quinn Harnish '26 (8-1), Daniel Cunningham '26 (8-0), and John Kirby '24 (8-3).

The win keeps the JV squad undefeated (7-0) with a final match at home on Saturday, May 6 against Hill School, which begins at 1 pm.
