Boys' Golfers Defeat Pennington

Mercersburg's boy's golf team downed host Pennington School (Pennington, NJ) 174-186 in a 9-hole match played on Saturday, April 27.

Captain Jason Jones '24 was the medalist on the day with a 41 that featured good ball striking to keep his score low. Next in the scoring were Argyle Downes '24 and Isaiah Marseille '24 who both shot 44 despite having some big holes. Miles New '28 was the 4th scorer with a round of 45.

Head coach Doug Smith commented, "The match featured tough conditions all around. It is nice to get back on winning ways before we head into the MAPL championship. We are seeing some signs of form and have a couple of days to tighten things up."

That MAPL championship tournament will be played at Blair Academy on Wednesday, May 1 at noon.
