The boys' golf team finished second to host Landon School in the Freeman Memorial Golf Tournament, held at the Bayside Resort Golf Club in Selbyville, DE May 3. Landon hosts this match in honor of alumnus Josh Freeman, for whom the tournament is a tribute.
Head coach Doug Smith reports that, "Leading the way for the Storm were a pair of 83s by Miles New '27 and Stewart Allan '27. Bayside is a course that challenges your decision making and your short game; both Stewart and Miles found fairways and kept the round on track extremely well. Next was Jackson McLear '28, whose round was adventurous in many ways, even going into the water to hit a shot, but he showed an excellent short game and carded a rock solid 85. Captain Ryan Kothari '25 finished off his career with a respectable 89. To round out the scoring Matthew Gu '27 came in with a 95."
"What a great way to finish the competitive portion of the season at Bayside," coach Smith added. I love that we are part of this event and the golf is always spectacular. This team has come a long way this year and we all feel that the future is bright. That being said our captain, Ryan, will be sorely missed. He has done a fantastic job keep the culture of the team strong through thick and thin."
