Head coach David Grady noted that "Shorb and Brown set the tone with a strong first mile, followed closely behind by Watkins and Smith. Watkins, Smith, and Brown ran much of the second and third miles together or near each other. Shorb was a bit off his game after battling sickness earlier in the week, but nevertheless ran tough and stayed within range of our pack of three. Dawson Hastings has gotten stronger each week and moved up into fifth position after running sixth the past two weeks. Bryson Brown had run 30 seconds behind our top three in the first race, and 1 minute behind them last week. It was great to see him take a risk and go out strong today. It paid off in a very good overall performance.  Winston Watkins, who was our third runner in the first two races, looked great today. He was getting faster and faster in the homestretch, indicating that he is likely to improve even more in our next outing. Cole Smith and Brendan Shorb have been very reliable up front, but it is good for our team to have Watkins and Brown running right up with them. Our task now is to get our fifth man closer to our pack of four."
