Boys' Cross Country Finishes 4th at MAPL Meet

The boys' cross country team took 4th place in the Mid-Atlantic Prep League Championship Meet, which was held at the Peddie School (Hightstown, NJ) on Wednesday, October 26.

Cole Smith '23 earned All-MAPL honors by finishing 5th in a time of 17:09. The top five team scorers included Smith, Winston Watskins ’25 (9th in 17:25), Bryson Brown ’24 (13th in 17:50), Brendan Shorb ’24 (24th in 18:31), and Jake Cruikshank ‘24 (25th in 18:36). Dawson Hastings '23 took 26th in a time of 18:41 and Oscar Su '25 finished 36th with a time of 19:31.

In the JV event, the top Blue Storm finishers were Huzaifa Ibrahim ‘24 (12th), Dawson Graditor ‘26 (14th), and Justin An ‘23 (17th).

"The team was out aggressively and looked to be winning the race in the first mile," said head coach David Grady. "Unfortunately, they could not sustain that effort in the middle and later stages of the race as other teams moved up. The boys put forth a great effort and left everything on the course today, which is what you hope for in a championship race."
