Boys' Cross Country 5th in State Meet

Mercersburg finished 5th out of 16 teams in the Pennsylvania Independent Schools Athletic Association (PAISAA) boys' cross country meet, which was held at the Belmont Plateau in Philadelphia October 28.

"This was a nice way to finish out our season", said head coach David Grady. "All of our guys had solid races today and it was very much a team effort. We like to match up with the other Pennsylvania independent schools, many of whom have very competitive running programs. To match up in a championship race on a challenging course that has a rich history makes it interesting. I think we stacked up pretty well in earning a fifth place finish. The boys put forth a purposeful effort in their training and racing throughout the season, so it was nice to see things come together for them with a meaningful performance in their last meet."

Winston Watkins '25 earned second team all-state recognition with his 11th place finish.
