Blocker Pours in 46 for Boys’ V Basketball

Darren Blocker ’22 scored an eye-popping 46 points, but Peddie’s boys’ varsity basketball team put together a scoring clinic of its own in a 102-83 win over the host Blue Storm February 9 in the Plantz Courts of Nolde Gymnasium.

Blocker had 24 points in the first half and teammate and fellow senior Chris Watson ’22 had 15 points before halftime for Mercersburg, which trailed 54-48 at intermission. Watson finished with 23 points on Senior Night for five members of the Storm’s roster; it was the final regular-season home game for Watson, Blocker, Terrance Ji ’22, and Collin Metcalf ’22 and Duncan Besch ’22, who sat out due to injury.

Mercersburg (4-12, 0-3 MAPL) visits the Hun School of Princeton Friday, February 11, at 7:30 p.m. for the start of a two-game MAPL road swing.
