She is co-founder and chief science officer of Arcade Therapeutics, where she translates cutting-edge neuroscience research into gamified, clinically validated digital therapeutics for mental health. Her book, Future Tense: Why Anxiety Is Good for You (Even Though It Feels Bad), argues that anxiety is a feature of being human and explores ways to leverage the emotion instead of being overwhelmed by it. Dennis-Tiwary has been featured throughout the media, including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, NPR, ABC, CBS, CNN, The Today Show, and Bloomberg Television.
The Ammerman Family Lecture Series brings to the community speakers of national renown who have important perspectives on significant issues of the day and the capacity to help young people understand the relevance of such issues to their lives. Endowed in 1999, the series was made possible through the generosity of Regent Emeritus Andrew Ammerman ’68 and his mother, the late Josephine Ammerman, in memory of Andrew’s father, H. Max Ammerman, and his brother, Stephen Ammerman.
The next speaker in the Monday Evening Lecture Series will be Casper ter Kuile, giving the Schaff Lecture on Ethics and Morals on Monday, December 4.
