"We had only competed in two meets this entire season, so we were light on competitive situations coming into these championships," said Mercersburg head coach David Grady. "I think our athletes responded quite well, as evidenced by a number of quality performances today.  This is a real testament to those athletes who rose to the occasion and had a significant impact in their events.  I think some of our other athletes would have benefited from a little more meet experience before facing today’s stiff competition."
