Girls’ XC Runs Fast at Carlisle Invite

Greta Lawler ’23 improved her lifetime PR by about 90 seconds and ran the 5K course in 21:19 to lead Mercersburg’s girls’ cross country team at the Carlisle Invitational September 25 in Carlisle, PA. Eleven of the team’s 14 finishing runners posted lifetime PRs.

Lawler finished 30th out of 176 runners in the varsity race. Anne Sehon ’25 was right behind Lawler at 21:24, and Leah Willis ’24 set a PR with a time of 24:13. Mercersburg finished 15th of 25 teams in the small-school section.

In the JV race, Clare Ip ’23 shaved two minutes off her time from last week to finish in 27:23.
