Girls’ V Lacrosse Posts Shutout in First Game

Mercersburg’s girls’ varsity lacrosse team kicked off its 2022 campaign on the right foot with a 21–0 blanking of host Bishop McNamara High School March 23 in Forestville, MD.

Zarreen Sorho ’23 had four goals and 3 assists, and Bridget Ahlgren ’22 tallied four goals and two assists for the Blue Storm (1–0). Sorho’s twin sister Zareena Sorho ’23 scored three goals and had two assists, and Linley Hill ’23 contributed three goals. 

Leilani Isel-Register ’24 had four saves while recording a shutout in goal for the Blue Storm, which led 16–0 at the half.

Mercersburg visits the Hun School of Princeton for a Mid-Atlantic Prep League contest Saturday, March 26, at 1:30 p.m. in Princeton, NJ.
