Girls’ V Lacrosse Dropped by Lawrenceville
Lawrenceville defeated Mercersburg, 15-4, in a Mid-Atlantic Prep League girls’ varsity lacrosse contest April 30 at Regents’ Field. The setback snapped a three-game win streak for the Blue Storm.
Mercersburg trailed the visiting Big Red (a traditional powerhouse in girls’ lacrosse) just 6-3 at halftime, but Lawrenceville outscored the hosts 9-1 in the second half.
A game after breaking the 100-point plateau, Bridget Ahlgren ’22 had a goal and two assists to increase her career point total to 111. Hailey Chepren ’23 tallied a goal and an assist, while Zarreen Sorho ’23 and Sammy Titus ’23 each scored one goal. Leilani Isel-Register ’24 had nine saves in goal for Mercersburg.
The Blue Storm visits local rival St. James Tuesday, May 3. Face-off is Hagerstown is set for 4 p.m.
