Girls’ V Lacrosse Beats Hun in MAPL Premiere

Mercersburg’s girls’ varsity lacrosse team won its second game in as many tries this season when it defeated the host Hun School of Princeton, 15-7, in a Mid-Atlantic Prep League contest March 26 in Princeton, NJ.

Bridget Ahlgren ’22 found the net eight times and added an assist to lead the way for the Blue Storm. Zarreen Sorho ’23 had two goals and two assists. Linley Hill ’23 and Zareena Sorho ’23 each had a goal and two assists, and Hailey Chepren ’23 had two goals. Leilani Isel-Register ’24 had six saves in goal. 

Hun led 4-2 early, but Mercersburg scored the next three goals to go ahead 5-4 and would not trail again. The Storm led 7-5 at halftime and outscored the Raiders 8-2 in the second half. 

Mercersburg (2-0, 1-0 MAPL) will look to stay unbeaten when it visits National Cathedral School, Tuesday, March 29, at 4:15 p.m. in Washington, DC.
