Boys' Basketball

Our mission: the program is built on a foundation of hard work, cohesion, and community awareness. Members of the basketball program are expected to contribute positively to the Mercersburg Academy and greater communities, both on and off the court.

Mercersburg graduates have gone on to compete at all three NCAA collegiate levels and in overseas professional leagues. Over the years, the college list has included the Ivy League, Pac-12, ACC, SEC, and the Patriot League, as well the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) and the Centennial Conference. Alumni have played in the Euroleague and even for the Harlem Globetrotters.

The boys’ basketball program encompasses three levels: varsity, junior varsity, and thirds. Our coaching staff contributes extensive experience as athletes and as mentors on all three levels.

Mercersburg’s basketball program trains and competes on the Plantz Courts, a 10,000-square-foot facility that houses three full-sized courts. Off-court training takes place in the McDowell Fitness Center, which features contemporary equipment and programming geared for athletic development.
