Fall MESPYs Spotlight Blue Storm Highlights

Mercersburg’s Department of Athletics saluted the fall 2019 athletic season December 3 with the thrice-annual MESPY awards. Girls’ cross country athlete Grace Lewis ’20 earned the Athletic Leadership Award, and boys’ thirds soccer coach Ben McNeil received the Excellence in Coaching Award.

Luke Thompson ’21 (boys’ golf) and Isabel Su ’23 (girls’ tennis) were honored with the Best Performance Award for male and female athletes, respectively. Thompson fired a 74 to earn medalist honors at the Keystone Cup, and Su closed out a dramatic Mid-Atlantic Prep League win over Hill in a tiebreaker.

Stephen Rice ’21 (football) and Zareena Sorho ’23 (field hockey) received the Breakthrough Athlete Award.
