Cross Country Teams Compete Against Large Field at Ben Bloser

Aakash Koduru ’20 broke the 17-minute barrier for 5,000m for the first time in a cross country race, finishing the boys’ AA varsity race in 16:55.77 to lead Mercersburg at the Ben Bloser Bulldog Invitational September 14 in Newville, Pa. Koduru took 12th place out of 175 runners.

For the Blue Storm girls, Addie Geitner ’21 once again led the way with a time of 20:55. “She looked really strong coming through the finish,” said Blue Storm girls’ head coach Betsy Cunningham. 

Koduru and Geitner were followed by their Mercersburg teammates in this order:

Both teams host rivalry matchups Saturday, September 21, with the Storm girls welcoming Madeira (10 a.m.) for an M Cup contest, and the boys facing off with Kiski (11 a.m.)
