Community Reading

For the summer of 2024, all students will be required to read How to Stand Up to a Dictator and their English grade-level read. A reading guide is available here.

You may read the two required books in any order and at any time; however, we recommend you pace yourself and read one book in June or July and one in August. You must bring the required books with you to campus at the start of the fall term. Electronic texts are permissible. 

Students may also choose to take part in the Summer Reading Challenge by reading the two required reads, one of the faculty-sponsored reads, and an additional two books.
