In honor of Mercersburg Academy’s 55th anniversary of black student integration, three students have produced a documentary film for their Springboard senior capstone courses about the life of Tom Leslie ’66, Mercersburg’s first black graduate. Join Parallel Histories and CommArts students Aba Sankah ’20, Campbell Prentiss ’20, and Peter Polega ’20; their teachers, Dean of Curricular Innovation John David Bennett P ’12, ’19, ’23 and arts faculty member Kristen Pixler; and Charlie Guy ’65, P ’88, ’93 for a live Q&A about the documentary. A: Reunion Weekend 2020 is postponed until further notice due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Our top priority is the well-being and safety of you, your classmates, families, and all members of the Mercersburg Academy community.
A: In consultation, we are exploring options for celebrating 0s/5s reunions. No final decision has been made yet. If you have ideas to share, please email or call director of reunions Jenn Flanagan Bradley ’99 at bradleyj@mercersburg.edu or 717-328-6140.
A: There are a lot of factors that go into planning a class reunion, and be assured that we are exploring all options with our Alumni Council, reunion volunteers, and class leaders. If you have a request or suggestion for your class, please contact us.
