Boys’ V Basketball Pounds St. James for Win No. 10

AJ Gray ’20 poured in 20 points and Quintin Metcalf ’20 added 18 points in Mercersburg’s varsity basketball team’s 88-64 win over host St. James School January 15 in Hagerstown, MD.

The Blue Storm (10-4) led 49-28 at the half and 71-46 after three quarters en route to its fourth-straight victory.

Metcalf scored all 18 of his points in the second half. Kaylen Oweh ’20 contributed 13 points and Chris Watson '22 had 12 points. 

"We came out fast and played at a high level for 32 minutes," said Mercersburg head coach Sean Crocker. "It was great for us to get a game like this where we could play a lot of guys in meaningful situations. We have a great team and it showed up tonight."

Mercersburg hosts Kiski Friday, January 17, in the annual Centennial Cup showdown. Tip-off in the Plantz Courts is set for 6:30 p.m.
