Basketball - Girls - Junior Varsity
A nationally renowned school. A culture of academic success. A program on the rise. A place to define yourself as a person and as an athlete.
- To challenge players of all levels, from the beginner to the skilled college prospect
- To teach the game in a way that is productive, creative, and fun
- To promote individual skill development and team oriented concepts
- To instill a commitment to discipline, trust, determination, and, most importantly, respect, in all players
Off-season work includes time at summer camp; several players have attended the nationally recognized “Point Guard College” in the last few years. Players may also participate in individual and small group skill sessions during the year.
The girls’ basketball program trains and competes on the Plantz Courts, a 10,000 square foot facility that houses three full-sized courts. Off-court training takes place in the McDowell Fitness Center, which features contemporary equipment and programming geared for athletic development.
