Softball

• A solid foundation in softball features offseason work at clinics and local indoor facilities (including in Mercersburg’s own Hale Field House), as well as a spring break training trip.
• While nearly every athlete in the lineup plays at least one other sport, a number of players compete on softball travel teams as well.
• Recent graduates have gone on to compete at the collegiate level at a number of schools, including Gettysburg, Haverford, and Swarthmore.
• The team won the 2012 PAISAA state championship, which was the first state title in the program’s history.
• The team practices and competes on Spider Field, a recently renovated facility located in the center of the campus.

Spider Field

Mercersburg practices and competes on Spider Field, a recently renovated facility located in the center of the campus. A resurfaced infield, heated dugouts, and upgraded fencing combine with a beautifully scenic setting to make the “Field of Dreams” one of the finest high school facilities in this softball-rich area.
