Girls Tennis

The girls’ tennis teams are centered around a culture of improvement. Technical skill, fitness, sportsmanship, and teamwork are emphasized, with the goal of creating a healthy team dynamic.

The Blue Storm varsity plays a highly challenging schedule that includes top schools in the PIAA, along with weekly encounters in the tough Mid-Atlantic Prep League. The junior varsity schedule is centered more locally and offers a range of competition to assist in player development.

The program is geared for two levels of player: the accomplished athlete who is prepared for the varsity level and the developing player who would benefit from the junior varsity level. The coaching staff contributes extensive experience as athletes and mentors on both levels.

Mercersburg’s tennis teams train and compete at the Smoyer Tennis Center, an expansive facility that features 14 outdoor hard courts and the Frantz Tennis Pavilion, which is equipped with the latest technology for off-court training, analysis, and instruction. During inclement weather, the Hale Field House is used as a four-court practice and competition venue.
