Alumni, Parents Invited to Contribute to Celebration of Coeducation Anniversary
During the 2019-2020 academic year, Mercersburg Academy is celebrating a number of important historical milestones, including the 50th anniversary of coeducation. As part of that conversation, we invite our alumni and parents to provide their input, experience, and expertise. A number of our regional programs planned for this year reflect the celebration of this milestone.
On Tuesday, April 7, Mercersburg will host We Speak 2020: a day of discussions on campus led by students, staff, faculty, alumni and parents. These collective conversations will be dedicated to the past, present, and future of women and gender equity. Your knowledge and experience can provide excellent content to launch these important conversations.
We hope to provide discussions and potential small sessions that are interactive and informative. Themes may range from feminism, gender bias, and women’s rights (suffrage/Title IX) to female entrepreneurs, health/wellness/balance, reproductive rights, equal pay, women in leadership, women in politics, how men contribute to the conversation, and beyond! (There will be opportunities for alumni to be engaged on campus, at regional events, and even remotely.)
Please contact Director of Alumni Relations Jason Bershatsky at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested in helping with these efforts.
