Visit Us
Nothing quite substitutes for visiting Mercersburg Academy in person. Seeing really is believing.
One of the best ways to get to know Mercersburg Academy is to come to campus, meet our students, faculty, and staff, and explore our facilities and grounds. A typical visit, which includes a student-led tour and an interview with an admission counselor, takes place on a weekday and lasts about two and a half hours.
Tours and interviews are offered Monday through Friday at the times listed below. If traveling to Mercersburg on a Saturday is more convenient for you, please ask about opportunities to schedule your visit on one of our interview days in the fall or winter.
Mondays and Thursdays: 9:45 a.m., 1 p.m., 2:15 p.m.
Wednesdays: 9:45 a.m.
Tuesdays and Fridays: 8:45 a.m., 1 p.m., 2:15 p.m.
Families are asked to schedule their visit several weeks in advance of their desired appointment date if possible. Please call the Admission Office at 717-328-6173 or email us to arrange your campus visit.
If you’re interested in a particular athletic team, performing arts group, or one of our many clubs and organizations, let us know ahead of time and we’ll be our best to arrange for you to meet with the adviser or coach of a specific program.
Interviews
Mercersburg requires a personal interview as part of the application process. Often this interview follows the campus tour, though it may also be planned for a separate in-person visit.
The interview is designed as a two-way conversation rather than a series of structured questions. We want to gain a better understanding of who you are and what you like to do, but we also want you to have the opportunity to ask questions and to learn more about Mercersburg Academy’s values and traditions.
Prospective students meet one-on-one with an admission counselor for 30 minutes, and parents will also spend approximately 30 minutes speaking with the same admission counselor.
