QUESTIONS
Who's your favorite teacher?
Miss Dalton, the dance teacher. She is really a perfectionist but it's worth it. I hadn't danced before I came to Mercersburg, even though it was something I always wanted to do. So my friends and I choreographed a dance—it had hip hop and krumpin' and lots of different dance styles. The crowd went wild and I still get compliments on it.

What are you most looking forward to when you graduate?
College. I've always really wanted to go and Mercersburg has helped me realize what college will be like. It's going to be hard and challenge me even more than Mercersburg, but I’ll be ready.

I'm thinking about Rutgers or NYU. I want to go into communications, maybe some day have my own radio show, kind of like Wendy Williams.

What's the food like?
I love that the food here doesn't taste like food from my old school. I mean I basically like everything. Some of my favorite things are the breakfast omelet, the hamburgers…oh, and the pretzel pie. It's one of the desserts they have on Mondays. The crust is frozen crushed pretzels and sugar and then there's ice cream on it. When you get it, it's always a little bit melted, which makes it even better.

What advice would you offer incoming students?
Learn how to focus on your schoolwork. You're living with your friends here, which is one of the things people look forward to the most. I did. And it's great. But that combined with the fact that there's always something going on means it's easy to find alternatives to work. For me, I realized I needed to do my homework before I go to a game and not on the bus back. And when I know I have an exam coming up, I make sure I don't go out. You know, I'm the kind of person who loves doing things, but I also don't like to fail, so I've figured that out. Most people here do, but it can be hard at first.
