Out and on my way

Four years came and went far too fast at Mercersburg. I am sitting at home now, after an amazing week at the beach with 6 of my best friends from school, and thinking back on all of the great times. APs, Senior Production, Senior Trip, Graduation, and Beach Week all flew by bringing a meaningful and fun end to my American high school experience. It's off to England in September but not before

I spend all of the time possible with the friends I made at Mercersburg. From concerts to movie trips to Orioles and DC United games, we've got it all planned out... sort of. Anyway, before I head to Oswestry School near Wales and Manchester, England for a post-graduate year, we are going to make some more extraordinary memories. I know that we'll stay in touch as I move on to Columbia University (where I have deferred enrollment until my return from the English-Speaking Union program) and into grad school and beyond.

Along with the first class education, the amazing opportunities to learn outside of the classroom, and strong connections to faculty, my friends rank right among the most important things I take with me. Below you'll find some photos of me and my friends as the year came to an end. Enjoy!

The Director and most of the cast of the Senior Production of The Real Inspector Hound. We and our tech crew spent a week in the Burgin Center putting together every aspect of the production: acting, set, lighting, sound, and publicity. See that modling? Fellow blogger Katie and I did all of that!

One of my best friends from Mercersburg Jordan Reed. We
lived across the hall from each other in Fowle all year but
now have to settle for being 20 minutes apart.

Hannah has been in the same
school as me since Kindergaten.

Four years, and every minutes was worth it. It was an honor to have the opportunities I have been
given at Mercersburg and a pleasure to represent my class as Salutatorian at Commencement.
