Friends at the 'Burg

No matter how much you may crowd your schedule (both in and out of the classroom), you will always find time to spend with the many friends you make here at Mercersburg.

Through my years on Sports Team (both Varsity Soccer and Squash), in class, on the staff of the NEWS, as a member of Model United Nations, and countless other outlets, I would say that I have worked or played with over 70% of the student body at one point or another. Here you are constantly meeting new people, especially during your junior (first) year.

Can you spot a fellow blogger in this photo?

Here I am with a group of my closest friends outside of Ford (the Dining Hall).

Throughout your time here, you are encouraged to build lasting relationships with roommates, floormates, classmates, teammates as well as many other members of the community through living, learning, and interacting with them, especially if you live on campus. This all leads to a very tightknit community, what students sometimes call the "bubble."

What else can happen when you put 440 or so high school students on a beautiful campus in a small town in southern Pennsylvania? And while I look forward to my time beyond Mercersburg, I am also coming to dread that Graduation Platform between South Cottage and Keil Hall, for it will mean the end of my time with these many dear friends and colleagues.
