

After 1,700 miles, seven days, countless gas stops, aching legs, sunburnt shoulders, and three wins under our belts, what did we really learn? What did we really accomplish? What did we gain?
A sleepy group of girls met outside for the last official “practice” of the 2008 Women’s Lacrosse Trip in Hilton Head, South Carolina, yesterday morning. After a lot of stretching to loosen up some very stiff legs, the team went on a 30-minute run through Harbour Town, saying a joyful “good morning” to every single person we met.
Today, the Mercersburg women’s lacrosse team woke up to another beautiful morning in Hilton Head, South Carolina. After a quick breakfast, it was off to the fields for an intense practice that ended with a nice little abs workout to prep for... our afternoon at the beach!
There were two storms in Bluffton last night…one was a pouring rainstorm that got rid of the bothersome gnats, and the other, much more fierce storm was the Mercersburg women’s lacrosse team. Bluffton (our opponent) was ranked No. 3 in South Carolina last season, and we beat them, 17–11.
What started as a simple show of hands outside the dining hall in November turned into two Mercersburg vans pulling into the Hilton Head Resort, filled with 14 girls and three coaches.
