Mercersburg got off to a fast start and quickly established the game's tempo scoring soon after the opening draw. Upper Middler Jenn Dillon found the back of the net for the first of the six goals that she pocketed for the day. Mercersburg never looked back and was able to totally dominate the game, going into the halftime break with a very comfortable 10-1 lead. The pace of the game eased a little in the second half and the Blair squad was able to get several goals in quick succession and for a while looked like they might make a run for a win but the Storms girls stiffened their midfield ride and quickly got back in the drivers seat. The highlight of the game was in the first half when Dillon was able to break the schools single season scoring record, surpassing last years captain Gwen Buss with 68 goals for '08.
