Mercersburg Girls Lacrosse faced off against Sidwell Friends wednesday, eager to get back on track after a disapointing loss on Sunday. The game got off to a late start but from the first draw it was eveident that each team had come to play. Sidwell got on the board first but a fast and aggressive attack by the Blue Storm quickly evened the count. Goals as well as the game lead were traded for the rest of the contest as both teams traded fast breaks and hard rides and clears. The Quakers capitilized on some very good passing and were able to get off some good shots but goalie Steph Seibert managed to turn away more than her share of the shots ensuring that her teamates stayed in the game. A fast Blue Storm midfield game kept the ball in the Quakers end of the field and a relentless attack managed to pocket the girls goal after goal. As time ran out however Sidwell managed to hang on to their thin lead and handed Mercersburg a dissapointing loss.
