Mercersburg

Many of Mercersburg's squash players are new to the game when they enter the school, but most arrive with good racquet skills from experience playing tennis, while others come to Mercersburg unskilled. Whatever their level, our players acquire a fundamental ability in the game which can take them to the next level in college, should they desire to continue to compete.
Mercersburg currently has Varsity and Junior Varsity teams made up of 18 players. With ten squash courts, our players have ample court time to develop their skills during afternoon practices (November through February) and during the playing season (December to late February.) Normally, Mercersburg plays two or more matches a week against some of the best competition in the mid-Atlantic region; squash is an official sport of the Mid-Atlantic Prep League (MAPL). In addition, each year one of the league's schools hosts a men's and women's tournament. The Varsity team competes in several major tournaments throughout the season.
