Mercersburg faced an overpowering Montrose Christian on its home court. Montrose, ranked #8 in the latest USA Today Super 25 national rankings, was paced by Villanova signees, Mouphtaou Yarou, who led the Mustangs with 19 points and 14 rebounds.

“We did not play a bad floor game but we could not put the ball in the basket for the second game running. We need only to make some shots we can make on a regular basis and we will improve significantly,” commented Coach Mark Cubit, adding, “Montrose transitions faster on a turnover to the hoop than any team I have ever seen. They are a great defensive team and yet we still got some good looks that we just could not convert.”
