St. John's (2-0) took control of the contest early, surging to a 20-6 lead as the Blue Storm struggled to find its running legs in the visitor's opener. 

Taylor Dunn scored 29 points, including netting six three-pointers, to lead the Mercersburg effort.

"We just missed too many decent shots and were rushing a bit early on. Throughout we just did not finish plays and we must work on our post defense. We were coming off a 10 day layoff with essentially one day of practice, but we did a lot of good things outside of our shooting, which I am sure will come. I am excited to see this great group of guys grow," commented coach Mark Cubit.
