4:30 p.m. V Men's Soccer vs Landon School
Mercersburg's season finale was bittersweet, with an excellent effort against another quality opponent.  While Landon ultimately won the contest 2-0, the game capped an excellent season for the Storm, which exhibited its trademark intensity and enthusiasm through the end.

Landon scored early on a brilliant goal and a defensive error, but Mercersburg fought hard to attempt to equalize, dominating much of the half. The Storm opened the second half with continued offensive pressure, but was unable to find the net.  Landon increased the score to 2-0 after catching the Mercersburg defense pressing with the attack.

"This was a good final effort for the boys. Credit should be given to an outstanding group of seniors: Tim McHale, co-captains Tad Holzapfel and McArthur Gill, Ed Michaelson, Dillon French, and David Liu. WIthout their leadership, it would have been a very different season." commented coach Quentin McDowell, who completed his first season as head coach of the Storm.

Notes: The team finished with an overall 9-5-2 record, 2-1-2 in the Mid-Atlantic Prep League.  Both marks are season highs for Mercersburg since its entrance into the MAPL in 2000.  The Storm also finished as the #2 ranked team in the Tri-State area, in the Hagerstown Herald-Mail ratings, the highest ranking ever for a Mercersburg soccer squad.
