Mercersburg's sports teams are well represented on the recently released Chambersburg Public Opinion newspaper All-Star teams.  Click on the links below to see the full All-Star roster for each sport. Note that much of the surrounding area competes in girls soccer in the spring, while Mercersburg plays in the fall. So, soccer selections to the P.O. team include both fall and spring competitors.

Josh Edgin ’06, a left-handed pitcher at Francis Marion who began his college career at Ohio State, was selected by the New York Mets on the second day of the 2010 Major League Baseball Player Draft. Edgin, a senior from Three Springs, Pennsylvania, was a two-time All-Mid Atlantic Prep League and All-Area selection for the Blue Storm.

Mercersburg played eventual champion Germantown Academy close for three innings, but the Storm could not weather an eight-run outburst that keyed the nationally ranked Patriots' 13-1 semifinal win in the Pennsylvania Independent Schools Athletic Association state baseball tournament.

A strong pitching performance by Christian Binford '11 and timely hitting led Mercersburg to a 7-2 win over Malvern Prep in the PAISAA state baseball quarterfinals. The Storm punched its ticket for the PAISAA's final four Saturday at Perkiomen School.
