Biography:
Heather previously taught French in Massachusetts and Vermont, Spanish in New Hampshire, and English at a bilingual school in El Salvador. Heather likes to focus on cultural and political awareness in the classroom. Two of her research publications on Second Language Acquisition and Writing to Learn were published in 1994 and in 2001, and she is a member of AATF and ACTFL. Heather was also named to "Who's Who Among America's Teachers" in 2002 and 2004 through 2007. She was a presenter at the 2005 Quebec City conference of the AATF, speaking about Mercersburg Academy's newest advanced French course: Contemporary Issues in the French-Speaking World. She is a College Board Examination Reader for the AP French Literature Course.
