Biography: Pete came directly to the Academy’s athletic department from the 1988 Olympic Games in Korea, where he was swim coach of the United States Modern Pentathlon Team. He is an 11-time NCAA All-American Swim Team Member, and held the NCAA record in the 400-yard individual medley in 1967. He became the World Student Games Champion later that year in Tokyo. He was also a member of the 1968 Olympic Swimming Team in Mexico City, and has been a part of four Olympiads as an athlete, coach, or official. At Mercersburg, Williams' teams have won four Eastern Intercollegiate Swimming Championships titles and broken three national interscholastic records, and 10 of his swimmers have competed at the Olympics. | ||
