Mercersburg’s head of school, Douglas Hale, came to the Academy in 1997 from a position as headmaster at Baylor School in Tennessee. His leadership is supported by a 28-member board of regents, each of whom is elected for a three-year term.
Hale is supported on campus by a nine-member senior administrative staff.
