Tompkins Introduces Scholarship on NBC 25

Scott Hershberger, of NBC 25 in Hagerstown, Maryland, visited campus on October 10 to find out more about a new scholarship at Mercersburg.
“We established a scholarship for legacy students and the Regents Scholarship for talented boarding students,” says Christopher Tompkins, assistant head of school for enrollment.
“The logical and right thing to do was to establish the Mercersburg Scholarship, which gives talented students in the region a chance at a scholarship that is independent of a family’s income.
“We’re encouraging families to look closely at opportunities for education,” Tompkins says. “By visiting schools and spending time getting to know their cultures and opportunities, families can make a good choice for their students.”
Tompkins’ interview will air on NBC 25 at 5 p.m., 6 p.m., and 11 p.m.
The new Mercersburg Scholarship is based upon academic achievement, SSAT test results, extracurricular activities, character, motivation, and a written essay. To learn more about the highly selective Mercersburg Scholarship,
