Esquire Magazine Features Del Toro '85

It wasn't enough to be the youngest Bond villain ever. He had to capture an Oscar for a performance as an honest cop in
Traffic. And now Benicio Del Toro '85 is taking on the role of socialist revolutionary
Che Guevara.
Del Toro, who visited with Mercersburg students in November 2006 during the
Burgin Center for the Arts opening, admitted to Esquire writer Chris Jones that his Che role makes him a little nervous. "Am I nervous? Yeah,'" he told Jones in the October 2007 issue. "Del Toro has been grayed by Che, the way parents are aged by their children," writes Jones. "This will be the sort of aria that defines him, that confirms him as one of film's great men."
