Mercersburg is among the private boarding schools where CitySquash veterans excel, reported the

“The Chemistry of Squash: What a racket−giving urban kids a shot a premier prep schools.”Tim Wyant, a Harvard squash team and international professional circuit veteran, introduced the CitySquash program in 2004. According to the January 15, 2008, story, Wyant searches for natural talent and academic promise, taking a traditionally elite sport into an urban arena. "When you bring squash and academics together, something happens," he adds. "There's a certain chemistry between those two things," he told the
Village Voice.
Mercersburg’s squash program is coached by Chip Vink ’73 and Wells Gray. In 2007,
Vink told NBC 25 about the strength of
Mercersburg’s program. The
Davenport Squash Center offers an exceptional facility for interscholastic and recreational play.
